This is not my favorite Hammer Strength machine to do the shoulder press exercise on, but unfortunately, my gym refuses to bring in this Iso Hammer Strength shoulder machine which they could have done (they had it another closing gym) and which is so much better in quality and range of motion. Regardless, this circuit Hammer Strength weight training machine in my video will have to do and has become part of my strength training workouts.
The shoulder press exercise with dumbbells is also a better choice than this machine in the video, but because the exercise is done using dumbbells I have to use lighter weights. It is more difficult to get heavy dumbbells to the starting position whilst with machines, the starting position is more or less set for you and much safer to use with heavier weights. For this reason I like to combine the two in my workout especially since the range of motion using these 2 different pieces of strength training equipment is different anyway.
