Full-body exercises allow you to work several muscle groups at the same time. They are amazing exercises for losing weight, body toning, getting a good cardio workout and adding muscle strength. They are also great time savers, especially if you do not have a lot of time to work out. Also, many of the exercises can be done at home or at the gym with minimal equipment.
The exercise that I am going to demonstrate is the Low to High Chop, a variation of a dumbbell swing exercise. I always work out at the gym so I no longer have any weight training equipment at home except this one free weight plate. Although a medicine ball is preferable for this exercise, a free weight plate will suffice for demonstration purposes. I also want to illustrate that many of these full-body exercises can be done with minimal fitness equipment. Plus, a video helps to demonstrate this particular exercise more effectively.
Primarily targets and works out your legs, obliques, lats and shoulders.
This exercise video on the low to high chop will demonstrate clearly how the exercise should be done.
