Naked Bone Broth is a new and unique protein supplement from Naked Nutrition. It is a protein powder sourced from premium European beef bones.
2 scoops or a 22 gram serving size provides you with 20 grams of protein and all the required essential amino acids and branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs).
It has a savory flavor to it so you may want to experiment with it and try it in a few different ways to find out what tastes better for you or works better for you.
I first tried it with just cold water. It was difficult to hand mix and I didn’t like the taste. A bit too savory for me for a protein powder supplement on its own. I prefer whey protein powder supplements with water.
Next I added 2 scoops of the Naked Bone Broth supplement along with some vegetable greens to some pre-cooked brown rice. I mixed it in well and microwaved the rice to heat it up. The bone broth powder added a nice, sort of beefy flavor to the rice along with the added benefit of fortifying the brown rice with a lot more protein. It also saved me some time since I omitted barbecuing some meat for this dinner.
Next I will try it as a soup broth by just adding hot water and by adding it to beet juice - so stay tuned for the updates. Bone broth should also go well in other vegetable juices like carrot juice, etc...
To conclude, although I did not like Naked Bone Broth mixed with just cold water like I normally do with whey protein powders, it was perfect in a heated meal and I think it should taste good mixed in various vegetable juices. It’s a great way to supplement your lunch or dinner meals with added protein and flavor. Naked Bone Broth protein supplement is different from what I am used to from a protein supplement perspective but it can provide you with very versatile protein options for your daily meals.
